There are so many “eating programmes” and miracle “diets” on the market today, but according to Elaine, these are all based on denial and guilt and are very negative. The “rules” of these programmes make us feel trapped and unhappy and when we give up in desperation, we feel we have failed and head back to the chocolate cupboard which simply compounds the problem.

Our programme follows the philosophies of Raw Food and is all about positivity and pleasure! We focus on the abundance of delicious, organic, seasonal fruit and vegetables. We want you to experience the joy of eating these as nature intended, fresh from the tree and we have created a mouth-watering menu of plant based dishes to tempt your palate. Through opening up this wonderful new world to you, you will quickly understand how your body can benefit from eating a high raw diet (see “the Benefits of a High Raw Food Lifestyle” below) and making you feel more satisfied more quickly. Your enhanced energy levels will allow you to achieve more in your day, and the release of the “happiness hormones” will improve your mood and your life.

Introduction on the Banish, Balance, Boost program

  • This 6 day residential program kick starts your journey to a healthier, happier and more successful lifestyle and may help to reverse the signs of aging. Combining yoga, relaxation and positive thinking with a menu drawn from nature’s own larder of the freshest and most healthful ingredients, the Banish, Balance, Boost program will leave you feeling refreshed, lighter and more vibrant.
  • 2 days of cleansing the mind and the body through specific physical and mental exercises is followed by 2 days of relaxation techniques to help provide the right environment for you to let go of what may be holding you back. The program culminates with 2 days of yoga –based postures and movement, tips for home practice and recipes for delicious juices and meals which will energise inform and inspire you to live the life you want to live.
  • Banish Balance Boost has been developed by Elaine Vaughan, a British based yoga teacher, Wellness Coach and Raw Food Educator who has brought together her extensive knowledge and experience to create this introduction to a better life.

Analysis of the Banish, Balance, Boost program

Day 1

BANISH

Day 1 of 2 to cleanse the body and mind of toxins, negative energy and thoughts which no longer serve us. Juices, infusions and meals during these 2 days are designed to be light and to aid this process. An introductory talk on the benefits of raw food and a cleaner diet will give tips to help you in the future. Gentle yoga classes will help with elimination and an optional discussion on the power of positive thinking and how we view ourselves will give guidance and tips to living a happier life.

There is time for optional treatments during the day (suggestions of appropriate therapies have been made) or, and equally beneficial, for relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel.

Day 2

BANISH

Continuing the good work of day 1, day 2 starts with another refreshing and cleansing juice. Breath work to calm the body and eliminate negative thoughts is followed by a yoga class designed to awaken the body. An informal talk on why we should amend out eating habits and make healthier choices is followed by a delicious lunch. The afternoon yoga session will focus on surrender and opening the body allowing us to face what we may have been holding on to. The evening discussion will be based on “The Four Agreements” by don Miguel Ruiz to open our mind to an alternative way of thinking.

BALANCE

Following 2 days of “Banish” we start day 3 with a nourishing smoothie. During these two days we will aim to bring the body and the mind back into equilibrium, discovering the importance of our sympathetic and para-sympathetic nervous systems and why our gut controls our emotions. Relaxation, Restoration and Rebalance are the focus and will be encouraged through gentle yoga postures whilst we “learn to stand upright” through mindfulness-based practices.

BALANCE

Day 2 of “Balance” will continue to calm the mind and the body. Yoga classes will stretch the body to allow free movement of energy through all the chakras and also calm the body and the mind through a series of balancing postures to encourage focus and clear thoughts. Time for relaxing in the sunshine to enjoy the important Vitamin D or to have restful treatments is encouraged. A talk on “The Gut as our second brain” will be the topic of discussion today.

Dynamic yoga sequences focusing on the Fire Element and the solar plexus chakra will encourage confidence and greater self-esteem. Making plans for the future and taking forward what has been learned this week will be the topic of discussion

The final day of this 6 day program will commence with a meditation on joy and the importance of happiness in our lives. We will give thanks for what we have and what we value during a day of energetic yoga classes and life enhancing breath work. Sharing our experiences of the programme, planning menus and stepping forward into a happier, more successful life will be the focus of discussion in the evening whilst enjoying a celebratory dinner of healthful food.

Analysis of the Banish, Balance, Boost program rates

The program is based on 7 nights and 6 days, on full board basis including raw food menus, 2 juices and 1 cooking class, wellness-yoga program and transfer from airport to hotel & from hotel to aiport

Guests staying at the Classic Collection:

• 2.500 EURO for a single use room or 3.400 EURO for 2 persons in a double room (valid for reservations during the months of May, June, September and October 2017)

• 2.900 EURO for a single use room or 3.700 EURO for 2 persons in a double room (valid for reservations during the months of July and August 2017)

• for a total of 7 nights with 6 days on Full Board basis.

Guests staying at the Lifestyle Collection:

• 2.850 EURO for a single use room or 3.720 EURO for 2 persons in a double room (valid for reservations during the months of May, June, September and October 2017)

• 3.250 EURO for a single use room or 4.070 EURO for 2 persons in a double room (valid for reservations during the months of July and August 2017)

The basis of a raw food lifestyle is to consume raw fruit and vegetables, preferably organic, locally grown and seasonal in their most natural state. It avoids “cooking” anything above 42 degrees and does not include any “processed” food, meat or dairy. The main philosophy of a raw food lifestyle is that through cooking and heating process, food loses some of its nutrients and the important digestive enzymes are killed.
